Williamsport Pennsylvania is the county seat of Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. It is located along the West Branch of the Susquehanna River at the base of 1600 foot Bald Eagle Mountain, in the foothills of the Allegheny Mountains. If you travel North of the city, you find forest covered Appalachian Pleateau, in places more than 2000 feet high.
The area has five streams that cut down through the Plateau creating a haven for fishing and camping. The beauty is only minutes from downtown Williamsport. The city’s elevation is 528 feet above sea level.
